Software part: in brief, the 3D printer divides the 3D model into countless layers according to the software. The thickness of this layer is basically equivalent to the accuracy of the 3D printer, and then forms countless printed coordinate commands for the mechanical part to implement.
Mechanical part: the mechanical part is the positioning part to implement the printing command. The XYZ space axis is composed of motor, support, synchronous wheel and conveyor belt. Therefore, the printing coordinates formed by the software part are positioned.
1. The frame of the printer. Different machines can be made of aluminum alloy (such as mendelmax), acrylic or aviation wood. There will be corresponding CAD documents on the open source printer online. The connector part of the frame needs to be printed by yourself with a 3D printer. Others sell cut frames or printed plastic parts.
2. For the transmission part, it may be necessary to cut the optical shaft with a given length (hard steel shaft, usually 8-12mm diameter), buy synchronous belt, synchronous wheel, screw rod (screw rod can be used instead of high demand), screw rod nut, stepping motor (usually 42 motor, foreign code nema17), coupling (link screw rod), and linear bearing can be selected according to the installation method of shaft, Or shaft sleeve. Or go further with a linear guide rail. A small amount of ball bearings may also be used.
3. Extruder, except for some structural elements that usually need to be printed, the extruder includes stepper motor, cooling fan and a designated stepper motor gear to drive plastic wire. The heating end includes a heating block, an electric heating tube (also used with winding resistance, but obviously the heating tube has high power), an extrusion head and a metal conduit.
4. Heating platform is the plane extruded by the model. Due to the combination of raw materials and the coefficient of thermal expansion of raw materials, the platform needs to be heated to 100 degrees. Printed circuit board or silica gel board can be used for heating. The surface of the platform can be single-sided universal printed circuit board (hole board) or silicon boron glass.
5. Auxiliary parts, including screws, gaskets, nuts, springs, nylon tubes with different diameters, silicone tubes, various types of tapes, etc.
